I’ve been adjusting my planning from the first week and making sure it was adapted for Week 2 over the weekend. Then I realized I hadn’t blogged Friday, so this one has little to no embellishment, nor is there any attached files or pictures.
They got to wrap their brains around triangles combined with circles combined with the coordinate plane (in general). They also “turned in” their weekly sheet that reports how they did last week, in both their opinion of themselves and in reality.
They got to wrap their brains around triangles combined with circles (but no coordinate plane yet). These classes will start to very heavily be differentiated from Honors right about….now. They too “turned in” their weekly sheet that reports how they did last week, in both their opinion of themselves and in reality.
They got to calculate marginal distributions, which become conditional distributions and the beauty of percentages. They decided that the “sample sizes were too small, and the results were biased”. They got laughed at by me for presuming they knew what any of that really meant on day 5, especially since they were busy looking for a “right” single-number answer. Bwahahaha! I must give them a reality check tomorrow.
The Law of Large Numbers seemed to go into their heads nicely.
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
